Haha it's one of my favorites.Boys must be boys, there’s nothing amiss.Īnd girls are so harmless it’s just so naive. I love this poem and the perception it offers. He strung a six-year-old up in a tree by his pants because the kid hit him in the balls with a stick. He's still incredibly sweet to the people he genuinely cares about, but he couldn't give a damn about others, and his words can be so venomous and cruel. I guess bullies pounded most of the compassion out of him. He isn't very nice to little kids and dogs. He isn't picked on so much now because he got a lot taller and his voice got deeper, but I've noticed that his bitterness towards bullies has indirectly made him into a bully. I have a friend who was brutally bullied in middle school and it continued into high school. Then there are bullies like this, who hold this grudge against the whole world for every misfortune that's happened to them, and want to watch everyone suffer. the natural reaction is to laugh, right? But it makes the victim feel awful, and it indirectly makes everyone who laughed a bully. Like for example, if someone's picking on a kid all in fun and the kid is pretending to enjoy it, and the bully says something really funny but mean. It didn't mean anything to us, but the targets are the ones who go home every day wondering what they did to deserve this. Generally, I think we've all been bullies at some point in our lives. Shesmetet - This poem really makes me think! I imagine there must be some bullies out there who know just what they're doing and do it on purpose. It dose not take long for people close to bullys to learn not to do things that upset them, so they do not even know how far people go to ficitalite them, which pushes the cycle because "you never do anything for me" The test for if it is a "uncontrollable condition" normally happens in the workplace, if you hit, kick, scream at your boss, you get sacked, if they can control there temper then then they make a positive choice to use there temper to get there own way. Tests have shown that by the age of 6 your response to not getting your own way is set, if you see someone in a supermarket with a child of 6 or over throwing a temper tantrum and getting there own way, you are watching the creation of a bully. i know you got it spot on because i lived with a bully/domestic abuser for 25 years. It is what they believe, however there world view is off centre. now, the poem.you painted a vivid picture of what a bully will tell you. Thank you so much for bringing me to that video, it is the best thing i have heard in ages, absolutely loved it.
